Zaporizhia region governor involved in embezzling budget of Enerhodar - Kyva
Governor of Zaporizhia region Kostiantyn Bryl was involved in the embezzlement of UAH 280 million from the city budget of Enerhodar, intended for the repair of storm drains, Head of the Socialist Party of Ukraine Illia Kyva said on the Espresso TV channel.
"UAH 280 million was allocated from the budget of Enerhodar, Zaporizhia region, allegedly for repairing storm drains of 7 km long. The company, which was supposed to do this, is directly affiliated with the Armenians organized crime group, which is controlled by [Head of the Zaporizhia Regional Administration Kostiantyn] Bryl," he said.
In addition, the SPU head said that Bryl is associated with the activities of the Armenians organized criminal group, which, according to operational data, has a number of criminal cases launched against it, including drug trafficking and racketeering.
"I know about a number of criminal cases that are in courts. I know how much money is brought to the courts and people who are suspected of contract killings are released under ridiculous pledges," Kyva said.
According to the politician, law enforcement agencies, the inefficient judicial system, as well as President Petro Poroshenko are guilty of the fact that the Armenians organized crime group is still operating in Zaporizhia region.
"Under the auspices of Poroshenko, organized crime has moved to government offices. They intimidate people and steal budgets," Kyva said.
Kyva said that he filed an application to the National Police with a request to investigate into the illegal embezzlement of funds from the city budget, as well as the activities of the organized criminal group. A similar request was also sent to the president.
