Chernihiv socialists have achieved the extension of the city program entitled "Lump Sum Financial Assistance" for another four years, as well as the increase in the expenses of the city budget on it, according to the regional organization's Facebook page, the press service of the Socialist Party of Ukraine (SPU) has reported on its official website.

"We have achieved the extension of the city program entitled "Lump Sum Financial Assistance" to the population of Chernihiv for another four years and a 2.5-fold increase in the expenses of the city budget on it," the regional organization said in the report.

This program will allow thousands of Chernihiv residents to receive funds for treatment and other needs.

"We are confident that in this difficult time, people need to be supported and provide them with additional opportunities for survival. This program allows doing so. The SPU will continue seeking from the city authorities not only the full implementation of the program, but also an increase in expenditures on it," Head of the Chernihiv regional organization of the SPU Dmytro Zinin said.

As reported, the SPU this spring reminded the authorities and the townspeople about the relevant program and demanded to implement it.
