Ilya Kyva about law on the Ukrainian language: it will not improve the economic situation and will remove the reintegration of the Donbas

The law on the Ukrainian language, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, will not improve the economic situation of Ukrainians and will complicate the reintegration of the occupied territories of the Donbas. The leader of the Socialist Party of Ukraine Ilya Kyva said this on the TV channel «NASH».

«Today, in this difficult time, we need to find compromises, a system of concessions. And be guided by economic issues, and not take air laws, that are not reflected in our purses. We accept laws, that split our people. I think, that they only push away Donbass from us to infinity. And our task is to turn these people back!» he said.

I.Kyva noted, that the adoption of this law takes place at a time when conditions for Russian citizenship are created for the inhabitants of the Donbas, which may aggravate the situation.

«Putin simplifies the issuance of Russian passports to residents of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, while the Verkhovna Rada, in parallel, adopts a law on the language, that will be pushed away by Russian-speaking Ukrainians. The war broke off part of the territory, now in these occupied territories there are about 3 million people. In the Donbass, in principle, the program of training Ukrainian language is not deployed», he emphasized.

According to I.Kyva, people's deputies deliberately do not consider issues, aimed at easing the tariff burden and improving the well-being of the population.

«While this law was passed (the law on the Ukrainian language - Ed.), Rinat Akhmetov bought several regional energy production companies and became a monopolist. Deputies do not want to begin to destroy the economic monopoly of the oligarchs? And think about the economic situation of citizens? Let's take the same zeal to defend the interests of citizens in terms of tariffs, pensions», he said.
