Ilya Kyva intends to appeal to the Constitutional Court a presidential decree on the appointment of Gorkovenko as a member of the National Council on TV, Radio Broadcasting
President Petro Poroshenko appointed Volodymyr Gorkovenko to the National Council on TV, Radio Broadcasting – «his person», - with violations, the legitimacy of the presidential decree will be appeal in the Constitutional Court. The leader of the Socialist Party of Ukraine Ilya Kyva said this in an interview with "Politeka".
«I prepared a complaint to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on the presidential decree on the appointment of Gorkovenko as a member of the National Council in connection with the fact, that the early termination of the powers of the previous member - Artemenko - should to be approved by a decision at a meeting of the National Council. And they did not do this», he said.
At the same time, I.Kyva added, that the president appointed his person to this post, «knowing, that the newly elected president would not be able to change him during 5 years».
According to the politician, such appointments the head of state tries to avoid further liability for his activities.
«Why does Gorkovenko need a National Council? To close the mouth of the media. Because there is a parliamentary campaign, and no one really needs it, and this truth will lower the ratings. The National Council has the ability to pressure the media, on separate TV channels, on the Internet editions. Today, Poroshenko's task is to do everything possible to destroy the evidence, set up their own people, who will further assist him in avoiding criminal responsibility», he explained.
As reported, on May 4, P.Poroshenko signed a decree appointing the head of the office of the Main Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine V.Gorkovenko as a member of the National Council on TV, Radio Broadcasting.
