Ilya Kyva announces establishment of independent trade union for chemical industry workers
The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has registered the All-Ukrainian Independent Trade Union of Chemical Industry Workers. This was reported on the Facebook page by the head of Ukraine's Socialist Party of Ukraine Ilya Kyva, who was appointed trade union chairman.
"All-Ukrainian Independent Trade Union of Chemical Industry Workers is officially registered! We are reviving the trade union movement in Ukraine. We are going to war for the rights of the working people. It is trade unions which today must become independent and real protectors of human rights. We have already shown effective work by unionizing workers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We will unite the country with solid trade union!" Kyva said.
The decision to create a trade union was adopted at the all-Ukrainian action in defense of the chemical industry, which was supported by the Socialist Party. Thousands of rallies were held in Kamensk, Dnipro and Kyiv in support of setting fair and transparent natural gas prices for the chemical industry enterprises.
